The high-gloss aluminum body with its striking contours is impressively emphasized in contrast to the rough asphalt, reminiscent of the traditional proportions of Mercedes-Benz sports cars. The vehicle was unveiled in 2013 as the first model of the "Vision Gran Turismo" project, created in collaboration with the developers of the popular computer game.
